My 9 year old can shoulder and shoot perfectly. My 7 year old can't quite shoulder the length of pull on this, but the light weight and low recoil make him able to shoot tight groups. The Accu-trigger is GREAT and makes for a perfect out-of-the-box training firearm. I mounted a cheap scope on it because the type of iron sights that come on it are not the easiest for kids to understand. I knock it down to 4 stars because of the iron sights (and I am a big fan of iron sights since I shoot high power competition).
