Wore them for about two hours just walking around and they bruised my lower calf. Very very uncomfortable to walk in. It is unfortunate that boots with such a comfortable sole have a very poor ankle support design that makes it painful to just walk. I think the idea of a tough toe is awesome, they just have a poor application craftsmanship. I’ve had these boots for barely 3 weeks and the toe is already separating. Prior to purchasing I asked the sales rep if the tough toe was sewn on top of the leather toe they told me yes, but as the toe is separating it seems like they replaced the leather toe with the rubber toe piece. Ultimately, not very happy about either of those issues. I think for the price, these boots need some extra R&D. The last 3 pairs of boots I bought 2 redwing and 1 Irish setter have not lasted past 6 months without failing in some way. For the price it’s just not worth it. The toe box on my wingshooter st is completely falling apart in less than 5 months of wear. I will not be buying another redwing or Irish setter product.
