How to Cock & Decock a TenPoint Crossbow
Many TenPoint crossbows feature the ACUslide™ system, which helps to safely and silently cock and decock your crossbow. Below are the basic steps Mike and Bill demonstrate in the video above:
Cocking a TenPoint Crossbow

Slide the trigger mechanism down.

Crank your bow up by turning the handle forward. You can let go of the handle at any time as well as move the handle backward and forwards without having to worry about free spooling.

Continue turning the handle until you hear it click into place.

You’re ready to put your bolt in and hunt.
Decocking a TenPoint Crossbow

Apply pressure to the handle and push slightly forward.

Pull the handle backward to release. Again, you can let go at any time and don’t have to worry about free spooling.

Continue turning the handle backward until you hear the click.

Pull the handle out and attach it underneath for compact storage.
