{"reviews":[{"id":5107576,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Doin't buy this gun - unless you want to fall in love...","text":"This is my first \"major\" investment in a shotgun. Shopped it hard - read reviews, talked to people - finally bit the bullet almost a year ago now. Took a while, like it always does when you switch guns - but, let's the honest, it's the \"indian\" not the \"arrow\". One of the reasons why I bought this particular gun was the adjustability of it - the comb, the balance. Took me a while to get the set up right, but once I did, this gun is like nothing I've ever shot before. It's so balanced, it feels practically weightless. You can track the fastest moving targets and get a lead on them almost automatically. The comb has allowed me to mount the gun in perfect shooting plane for my dominant right eye, but rely on it being sighted in and keeping both eyes open - I can now see the targets better and when I squeeze the trigger, I know that the gun is going to put them down. \n\nBuild quality: this gun is built by one of the oldest family owned companies in the world and it shows in their craftsmanship and build. This gun is solid and I've shot 200+ rounds a day with it and haven't felt any after effects. The recoil absorption features deaden so much of that and the weight and design of the receiver block distrubutes so much of the force - it's just a really well built gun!\n\nNegative? Only one so far - the lack of ability to select between spent shell extraction and ejection. I used to favor the ejection mode (which is all this gun has), but did some field shooting where you had to pick up all of your hulls. Not really problem, I just had to modify my \"style\" a bit to break the action with my right hand and \"catch\" the hulls as they are ejected with my left. Now I do it even when shooting at my local club (and wish more people would!). \n\nReward yourself and buy this gun - someone mentioned lack of full array of chokes - boo hoo - it really comes with the ones that you need, with a box and a wrench, and all the weights, plus a top of the line case and virtually every tool that you might need to adjust/fix the gun. Top of the line gun from, in my humble opinion, the finest gun maker in the world!","textLength":2133,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":true,"autoModerated":true,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":2,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[{"type":1,"dimensionId":3,"dimensionLabel":"Value","id":10,"code":"VAL04","label":null,"value":4},{"type":1,"dimensionId":4,"dimensionLabel":"Durability","id":16,"code":"DUR05","label":null,"value":5},{"type":1,"dimensionId":5,"dimensionLabel":"Quality","id":21,"code":"QUAL5","label":null,"value":5}],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":null,"firstName":"PATRICK","lastName":"DOYLE","emailAddress":"[email protected]","externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":"2024-08-21T16:04:15-04:00","purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2024-08-10T10:00:07-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[],"catalogItems":[{"sku":"1674-J694B10","title":"Beretta 694 Sporting Bfast 12 Gauge Over-Under Shotgun","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/1674-J694B10","category":"over-under-shotguns","reviewCount":2,"ratingCount":2,"averageRating":5,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":0,"2":0,"3":0,"4":0,"5":2},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":4710369,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Beretta 694","text":"Great gun! Really appreciate the B fast stock. I got this gun for my son who competes and has a little growing still to do and the adjustability in this stock is great, from the additional cast you can put in the comb and the spacers for height has been a saving grace. \n\nAfter putting between 8-9000 rounds through the gun over the past 7 months the actions has broken in nicely, it’s not loose by any means but certainly has nice smoothness to it. \n\nIf there is one criticism it is in the chokes, I feel a gun of this caliber should have a better array of chokes, ie, I had to order skeet and full chokes for this gun. This is not a unique issue just with Beretta it’s typical of all the manufacturers, I just find it annoying when purchasing a higher end shotgun that is is meant for competition to have a lack of chokes. \n\nThe weight and balance of this gun has also been phenomenal, this gun replaced a K32 that seemed to be way heavier but when placed on the scale there was only a 2oz difference but because the way the K32 was balanced it seemed like pounds heavier than the 694. \n\nNow the question is do I get a second one as a back up or upgrade to the DT11.","textLength":1168,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":true,"reviewedFlag":true,"autoModerated":true,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":1,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[{"type":1,"dimensionId":3,"dimensionLabel":"Value","id":11,"code":"VAL05","label":null,"value":5},{"type":1,"dimensionId":4,"dimensionLabel":"Durability","id":16,"code":"DUR05","label":null,"value":5},{"type":1,"dimensionId":5,"dimensionLabel":"Quality","id":21,"code":"QUAL5","label":null,"value":5}],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"Bunker dad","firstName":"Dane","lastName":"Lambert","emailAddress":"[email protected]","externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":"2024-06-06T16:52:03-04:00","purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2024-05-30T12:38:33-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[],"catalogItems":[{"sku":"1674-J694B10","title":"Beretta 694 Sporting Bfast 12 Gauge Over-Under Shotgun","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/1674-J694B10","category":"over-under-shotguns","reviewCount":2,"ratingCount":2,"averageRating":5,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":0,"2":0,"3":0,"4":0,"5":2},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]}],"offset":0,"limit":10,"total":2}"Full Description:\nDesigned and tested in collaboration with the Beretta Shooting Team, 694 is the new under and over platform designed specifically for clay pigeon shoo ting, and with a precise objective in mind: to help shooters increase their success rate.
