We have owned the flying diamond 6 for around 10 years. We have camped in many areas from Yellowstone to the Redwood forest to Zions to the Rocky Mountains National Park, up and down the Wasatch Mountains, Snow Canyon, and many other places. We have loved our tent. When our kids were babies we had a pack and play crib that we could fit in the tent, another single air mattress, a double air mattress, and all of our clothes. The fly at the front makes a great space to store things you do not want in the tent but do not want completely outside. \n\nOur tent has been very well used and has lasted very well. The only issues we have had are with the zipper failing. Which I believe we sent back to Big Agnes and they fixed for free, and a small hole I think caused by a fire ember which is not the fault of the tent. \nThe tent is about 10 years old and we are using it right now down in Moab. Very happy with the quality. I would definitely recommend Big Agnes. We also have one of their sleeping bags. I think it is the 2 person dream island. It has also been fantastic. Spacious, tall , colorful, well insulated, strong enough to with stand 70 miles per hour mountain wind and kept us warm in 30 degrees so far. We are excited to use it in the middle of the Alaska winter. \nEasy to stake in and out. Lot of room for kids to play inside and tall people to stand or bend down inside to change clothes. \nFew things one should consider before buying this tent. It need a lot of space to set up. Easy to set up with two or more people. Setting up and taking down take extra time especially in colder days, Windy mountain weather and to dry in small yards. I used Big Agnes tents before but first time my tent fly came with a small rip/tear. I talked to the Big Agnes customer service. We love this tent, it's easy for the two of us to set up, the zippers work well and there's plenty of venting. Something we especially liked is the inside storage, lots of mesh pockets around the inside and lots of loops to attach clothes lines for hang drying clothes. We love the Kingdom 6 but have narrowly survived a few nights of thunderstorms and high winds. You know the nights I am talking about - lying there watching the frame bend and sway while the occasional raindrop finds its way through the rainfly to whack you in the face. I just couldn't risk another one of those nights. The Mad House 6 is a beast and laughs at those high winds and large raindrops. The build quality, material thickness, and pole strength is unparalleled. Surprisingly, it is 11sq ft larger than the Kingdom 6 and only weights 2 more ounces. I assume the designers at BA accomplish this through superior design and a lower ceiling.
