It is fairly well built and I have had this over a year. I enjoy the ease of use. It is fairly easy to clean with one caveat I will list below. The stainless exterior has held up really well and I cook with it all the time. The 36 inch model has enough room to do 6 pork shoulders at 9 lbs each. \nNow the issues. First, the box looks like it has been through a war zone when you get it. Many others have lamented this. It really needs better packaging. Second, it gets really bad buildup where the lid touches the seal. Warm water and soap does not take it off. It becomes like sticky epoxy. This is within the span of one long cook. The seal already needs replacement but that is a moot point until I can figure out how to take this gunk off without damaging it.If you do short cooks you may not see this problem. I do a lot of cooks on it in excess of 14 hours.\nWould I buy it again, yes. I will eventually figure out a way to get the tar off it. Then I will likely look for a better seal. I bought it from Lowes. I paid them to put it together. Lowes had inform me that there were 2 missing parts. I had emailed camp chef and they would mail me the part. I never received it. Even after calling and emailing they told me that it was back ordered. I needed the heat shield and the handle for the wood chips. Unfortunately I got tired of waiting and after 10 weeks I went to Camp Chef and order the part and PAID for the part. I ended up spending additional 40 for the 2 parts. Funny thing was that I got the part 5 days later but still have not received the part that I was told was on the way. The smoker is amazing but Paying for a part that should have been in the box was annoying. Waiting 10 plus weeks for it was bad enough. After spending 1500 I wished I would have gotten the traeger. Instructions for assembly were simple and straight forward. I appreciated the hardware bags were labeled by step corresponding to the assembly directions. Simple two man assembly can be don in 90 minutes. I added the side kick pizza oven and sear box which work incredibly well. The pizza oven will get as hot as you need to make a crispy personal pizza. For the first six months I loved it. I felt that it was a huge upgrade from Pit Boss. The smoke flavor and the ability to maintain a constant temperature are great. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use it for 2 months now. The wifi controller went out and I still haven't received a replacement. Customer Service hasn't been very helpful. The first time I called them in January, I waited on hold for 45 minutes and was told the part was back ordered and I would receive it in February. The part hasn't shown up yet and CS won't respond to my messages. Tried another outlet and it tripped again. Reading online it seems like an issue with the heating rod. Now I have a fridge full of meat and nowhere to cook it and a $1500 dollar deck ornament. It gave me many years of reliable great Smokey food. Unfortunately it finally wore itself out and needed replaced. I decided to go with the bigger 36” pro coming from the original 24. I love all the cooking surface I have now no more crowding. It looks beautiful as well. The smoke box is a game changer no more need for smoke tubes. Coming from the original with one probe having 4 is so convenient and has simplified my cook. \n\nAs for the cons the app leaves a lot to be desired and was a major selling point for me. That being said the app is not good. I can see my temps change the temp but using all the features would be nice. However it’s impossible because trying to register the grill is impossible which you need to do to use all features it will never fully register and you can see negative reviews all over the App Store and apparently camp chef don’t care because they have done nothing to resolve it. I also question build quality my door will never close fully on its own. There is a noticeably larger gap from one side to the other and if you done manually force it closed I have a very large gap so it doesn’t seal well. I contacted support to ask what I should do as I was unsure if I should even open it. They said it was probably fine and would take 2 days for them to look at photos since even though we were talking on the phone. Against my better judgement I tried to put the grill together and got 3/4 of the way through when everything stopped lining up. Now I have a grill that’s half built that I cannot finish that I get to take apart because support gas lit me when I asked if the mangled box was normal. I loved my 24” woodwind but having the additional smokebox on the pro is a game changer. Now my burgers have a much better smoke flavor at the higher grill temps. It is a beautiful sight to see all the smoke roll off this smoker. Camp chef wants $169.00 plus shipping and tax to replace.\n4 Grill will no longer connect to internet (customer service says probably related to needing a new controller).\nLove the way the grill cooks but reluctant to put more money into it and will probably throw out and buy a Trager.
