Tough and versatile, our Togiak Belt is the ideal tool for comfort and security on any backcountry adventure. It's generous length allow infinite adjustability up to a 45" waist, so it's easy to get the perfect fit, no matter how many layers you're wearing. The buckle, unbreakable and rustproof, boasts a slim profile that rides comfortably under the waist belt of the heaviest backpack. The polyester/nylon-blend webbing is lightweight, durable and dries quickly, so go ahead and cool off in that mountain lake or wade as deep as you need to reach big trout lurking on the far bank. And when you get back to camp, the buckle pulls double duty as a bottle opener to help you celebrate catching that piscatorial trophy.

REALLY long for casual wear but expected Filson quality all over.
Pros: Belt is good quality, looks good when wearing. Definitely cool to be able to expand or contract based on layers.
Cons: I am a 32-34 waist and it literally wraps around my back. Planning on having it cut back at least 5in which will cost $10 bucks and would rather just have paid $50 for the belt already cut closer. Suggest at least S, M, L sizing. If you plan on wearing this belt casually, you WILL have to cut it back. For outdoors and wearing on ski pants or when hunting ETC, works as intended.
This is my 4th Togiak. Best feature of many is the option to adjust fit based on any pants you may be wearing.. Easy to adjust and a perfect fit for what you have selected. Colors, fabric, and construction are great and the buckle is very special. Match belt color and upgrade the overall look. Sound a little "fashion like" but give it a try as they are a perfect match with Filson garments across the board.
The “one size fits all” is because it’s a size 40 belt. If you’re normal waist size 32-34 you’ll have about 6-8 inches of belt flapping around. Absolutely ridiculous. Just make 2 sizes do you actually think your demographic is please 250+ lbs?
I have a 34 waste and this belt seems to have about 12” of extra length. I find this extra length quite awkward and it takes some time to get it all sorted out and threaded through belt loops. This belt is so wide that it barely fits through belt loops so plan on spending some extra time getting dressed. Once you have it threaded through your belt loops (5 minutes later) it is comfortable and the hook and loop setup is nice. It could be improved with a slightly more ridgid webbing material a that could be cut and melted to custom lengths .
Belt was sewn, where the excess slack from the adjustment, is showing on the outside of the belt? This could have been easily corrected by sewing the buckle on 180 degrees, thereby hiding the excess on the back side of the belt.
Great quality and comfort... they really need to be sized though. I’m a 32” waist and I have an extra 18” of belt I meet to run through the side loops of my pants—which is sort of annoying to put on/take off. Not a deal breaker at all, but I would have MUCH preferred a shorter belt.
Nice belt with a bit different, understated, low profile buckle. Works well and is infinitely adjustable. Webbing is not at all stiff as I thought it might be. A bit long as others have mentioned but it’s not like you are going to trip over it.
Love this design, I’m left handed and even wear this “upside down” with no issues. Great summer belt, leather belts get hot in the summer. Buy a few of these, so your never lost without a bottle opener in every color. Cheers
I have been looking at belts of this style for sometime. I have a 36" waist pant size so the excess length was not too long compared to smaller waist reviews. It functions well, is comfortable even when items are worn on your belt or under a pack belt. I'm giving 5 stars for the fit on my waist. If I had to make changes to keep all waist sizes happy I would go with military style nylon webbing in the same width. The nylon webbing can be cut by the customer and then burned to prevent any fraying. With current material you could still cut to shorten the length but would recommend having the end sewn by someone who knows a little about sewing.
Belt material and construction is well up to the typical Filson standards. However, the fit for my 33 inch waist is unusual as the end of the belt wraps around almost to the middle of my back. Additionally the width of the belt is quite wide making it a tight squeeze to get it through a standard sized belt loop.
Love this belt, the only reason I didn’t give it five stars is two fold. One its way too long, maybe they should offer it in three sizes, small medium and large. Two, it’s a bit too wide to fit comfortably into most belt loops.
Belt was awesome at first and still is pretty great. For the first year or so I only had to re adjust it a couple times a day but I do a lot of crawling under houses. Only real downside is I lost weight and it doesn’t go as good with less tension on it, also leather slide became real loose and I took it off
The belt is simply to wide for all of my pants (including a Filson 5-Pocket Dry Tin pant). It is very cumbersome to take the belt off, especially at the end of a work day. In addition to that it is also extremely long. I wear 32 or 33 waist size, when I wore this the remaining length loop way past my hip bone. If you're between buying this or any of the leather belts, buy the leather one.
I generally like it very much they are difficult the thread through the loops of the pants and they seem to lose the correct Lenght they are very easy to hook and unhook or in the conventional sense buckle and unbuckle
Pretty dissapointing. Maybe if you are a pretty big dude, the belt would work better. But the way it is designed, you wind up having to almost double it if you have a size 30-32" waist. The buckle is cool, but doesn't sit particularly well flush with your pants. I wouldn't buy it again
No complaints with this Filson Belt. I was given this belt as a gift and found it would be extremely useful for hiking over a heavy leather belt when i'm not carrying many things on the belt itself. It is thick, keeps my pants up, and is good enough for casual wear. I would not shy away from putting a knife on the belt either, although it would likely have to be a very wide strap because this belt is very wide. Overall no complaints
