We have had a few of these chairs. I believe 3 have had to be replaced for the same reason… quality… something breaks or tears and unable to fix ourselves. They are stored inside our garage. Away from the elements of the outdoors. So I can’t figure out why they keep breaking. But they are comfortable and I wouldn’t want any other chair. That’s why I keep buying them. I just wish the quality was better. That’s all. Also, using the warranty like I did on this one… shipping costs $21 after tax. If I buy it at a store, you would think that GCI could figure out a way to get a replacement to a customer without paying $21 for shipping.
