It has never failed, shoots first time, every time, all the time! Mine came with a list of approved ammunition recommended by KelTec (it prefers “heavy, high velocity” bullets) I got lucky and was able to purchase a thousand rounds of old super x made in the 60’s (40 grain).\n\nEvery time I go to the range I am asked what I am shooting, since it is louder than a nine mm (and the fireball looks awesome coming out of the barrel with every shot). Most people shooting it for the first time is surprised about the lack of recoil and the power of the 22 WMR cartridge. \n\nThis is a Large and very lightweight pistol that you are able to load 20 rounds very easily, 25 rounds easily and 30 rounds with some effort (without denting bullet casings).\n\nIt is a great pistol that I would purchase again without hesitation. Accurate, powerful, Light and FUN to shoot, easy to clean!\n\nAs it always has been, 22 WMR ammunition is more expensive than a lot of center fire cartridges, consequently, I find it “difficult” to justify shooting when 9 mm ammunition is less expensive and more abundant under “present” day conditions!\n\nIf you are looking for a cheap gun to shoot, a KelTec P 17 22 LR or Taurus TX 22 LR may be your best solution. I bought this PMR30 as kinda of an oddity or one off. OMG did I underestimate this thing! Light, easy to handle, large capacity magazine and overall fantastic to shoot! Good ammo is a must, then I picked up extra magazine and a speed loader from KelTec! Fun to shoot but reloading was worst! On clay with 9MM is 4” exit but this is 3” exit! Holds it own and my buddys each bought one too after shooting mine! Unfortunately that rifle has issues racking shell. After reading several reviews and watching UTube videos which for the most part were negative, I was concerned that I had made a mistake. Although I have shot numerous sporting rifles and shotguns I had little experience shooting handguns. But this little baby was sweet. I was able to load both magazines to full capacity, yes the last 5 was getting a little tight, but nothing like the poor reviews. The first squeeze of the trigger was a sweet surprise as it was very crisp and short. By the end of the afternoon, I had run over 200 rounds of various brands and grains without a single failure. Every shot cycle through without a hitch. Accuracy, the gentleman I was shooting with who had just retired from the military said I was shooting expert, which I guess hitting 8 inch plates at 30 yards is pretty good with a pistol. Most groups at 15 yards were in the 4 in circle.
