The color looks sharp too, felt like the prettiest girl at the ball with this thing on.\r\n\r\nHowever, the waist band needs a bit of help. The cushion right in the back rubs a bit and created abrasion. This might have been because the belt is too big for me and can't quite get narrow enough. Sure i'm a skinny guy, but I wear 31in pants and that can't be totally unique for backpackers. Two days into the training, the pack load shoulder strap ripped out from the main body. \r\n\r\nThe pack only saw moderate use and the stitching is what failed, the strap was not torn or cut. It was not a catastrophic failure, however, it made for a slightly uncomfortable pack ride for a few more days. \r\n\r\nWith that being said, Kelty immediately responded to my request for warranty service and emailed me a pre-paid packing label with detailed instructions on how to send this pack in for repair. \r\n\r\nAt first, I was surprised by the repair in lieu of replacement. Seems to adjust easily for proper fit and feels good carrying full gear. However, when carrying a fair amount of gear I like to lay my tent horizontally on top and cinch the brain down on top of it to hold it in place. With the pack fairly full the brain will not adjust to enable me to do that. I would suggest looking for a pack that has a bit more adjustment options for the brain or buying the Asher 60 instead of 55, I wish I would have purchased the 60 instead of 55. I think this would have solved my problem.
