I love having an ultralight option with the extra room that comes with a rectangular sleeping bag. The light weight comes from the down insulation. Keep in mind that down doesn't insulate when compacted, so you will need an insulated pad or underquilt to stay warm when it's cold. Zippers work well and don't bind super easily in my limited experience so far. But... I bought a 30 degree bag, and my first night in it was in the middle of June where the temps got down to maybe 50-55 degrees -and my legs were cold. Not dangerously cold, but not comfortable and there's no way this is going to work for me at 30 degrees.
