Every time I try to use this rod the line cannot get through the first guide fast enough and causes a knot of twisted line. The hole in the first guide of a spinning rod is large for a reason. I tried using it for three days last week and couldn't manage a half dozen casts before I had a knot in my line and had to retie my jig. meanwhile I was catching limits with my Falcon Boocu 6' ultralight without a hitch. I gave the rod to a neighbor. The headache of haveing to almost constantly retie wasn't worth the $50 buck the rod cost.
