The fit is very weird. I got a meduim, (usually a large in carhartt) and it’s a bit too long, really baggy in the gut, and the sleeves are too long and baggy. Too expensive to not fit right. And it’s 100% polyester so it won’t shrink.
It is comfortable and warm once it’s on but the issue I have is that I have large forearms from years of pulling wrenches and the sleeves are tight. Not bad with a tee on but with a long sleeve tee it is difficult to get my arms in and out of it. The lining in the sweatshirt “sticks to my long sleeve shirts I wear underneath. I do wear it but will not buy another.
I had one before and it is a nice sweatshirt. Not really heavy enough when it gets into the 20's without serious layering. Would be much warmer if the zipper would close up to your throat. Lot of draft in the upper chest/ throat area. Saves me from having to wear extra safety vest.
It’s just what I wanted. I work for a trucking company. My work day starts at 1am, anytime you have to pull over to check something I’m comfortable knowing I will be seen. TY Carhartt. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Smaller than Carhartts original line up of hoodies
I found that this hoodie is smaller than Carhartts original line up of hoodies. Also I noticed the overall quality of the hoodie was below my expectations for what I expect from Carhartt. Overall It's a alright hoodie, it's just not worth what they are asking in price.
I've only worn it once so far and it did as it should. I'm 6'10" and have a lot of trouble finding long sleeve anything to fit me well and have long enough sleeves. It wouldn't hurt for the sleeves on here to be about an inch longer, but they'll do as they are.
I work for United Airlines and this is a great hoodie to have on the go when you don’t wanna use your vest. It’s also very comfortable when wearing in cold conditions. My first major concern is that that bright yellow is the last thing I see when I open it up for the first time. It seems so durable I cannot get dirt stains out of the hoodie on chest, back and arm areas especially when I pick up bags. Is there a cleaning method I should use for this hoodie in particular? And my second concern is that I’m a pullover guy, (I know I’m sorry) is there a pullover version you can make?
Never thought I’d give Carhartt a rating of one. this sweatshirt was greatly disappointing. To start with the worst is the waist design. The front drooped very low and baggy and the pockets are uselessly small. Worst part is the waist in the back ended very high. So much to the point when bending over my entire lower back would be exposed to rain wind snow etc. Secondly the hood was beyond far to large and flimsy. Held no shape and in any wind it would blow across your face blinding you. The material was rather thin, even for a mid weight. The material would stretch and stay stretched as well . I dreaded wearing this however it was required where I was working at the time. I passed it on as soon as I could.
