This is your hoodie for when it is cold...which is subjective. I am going to say 20 F. New England provides many days where you are in between a larger coat and just a hoodie - this is my "go to" on those days. It efficiently blocks wind and keeps you toasty. It also look good!
Extremely warm. Wore the jacket on a recent ski trip to New Mexico. Great at blocking the wind and not letting air cut through as other fleece jacket have. I like this jacket and highly recommend to anyone.
I love this jacket! Really warm for not being a heavy jacket. Very comfortable. I hope they make a hoodie this same style in the future. My only complaint is I wish it was a little longer. They were out of tall in my size but the regular Large still fits good.
I was the driver/pump operator on a freezing cold , windy , winter day at my volunteer fire company and this jacket kept me nice and warm while everything around me turned to ice. Excellent purchase and great quality as usual.
Freezing cold, windy winter day and was feeling fine in this jacket.
I purchased the jacket to combat the midwest winter. I have owned it for about a month. The jacket is awesome so far. I wear a hooded sweatshirt underneath the jacket and that is enough to keep me warm. The material is very durable and blocks the wind. I am very pleased with the quality, durability, and the number of usable pockets.
I purchased the jacket online. The order was filled quickly. The jacket arrived faster than expected.
I am very happy with it it was the jacket I didn’t know I needed lol
I am very pleased with it but it was a little tight in my back and I thought it would be a little softer . I’m hoping that after breaking it in it will get to wear I want it to be I’m 6”3 250 and got the 2xl tall and it fit perfect except being a little tight in the upper back but I believe that is just the material and will loosen up. As far as functionality it performs great I wear it under my jacket some days when it’s really really cold and it stops the wind and keeps me super warm in fact a little bit too warm to where I can take the jacket off it has become a great piece in my work arsenal. If you were looking for Sherpa lining it does not have that it’s Sherpa on the outside which is where I think I got confused but I much rather have it the way it came for the functionality of it It’s more like an insulation shell with some Sherpa on top of it for the look it’s kinda like the Crowley jacket with pirates of the dalton on top lol but if you looking for a soft fleece jacket or sweater I would go with the dalton .
I’m a carpenter in Montana. Most of our work is outside. I love the jacket. It does everything it’s supposed to do. Warm. It’s ability to cut the wind is what I really appreciate. It’s built to last. Works great as an outer layer or under a heavier jacket. I usually wear a light puffy underneath and I’m comfortable on all but the super bitter days. The only downside is how well the fleece clings onto sawdust. I’m a big fan. Highly recommend.
I ordered this jacket in a men's small for myself, a 5' 10" lady. I often do this because I need the length of a men's size. This jacket fits really well, and is super warm. As others have also said, this is definitely more structured than other fleece jackets I've had, but in the cutting wind and cold of Alberta, this jacket is super warm. I'm so happy with my purchase!
As always Carhartt never disappoints me with quality look or warmth that I expect from my outer wear or anything that I wear Carhartt! This jacket was used in the March for Life rally and it was 12 degrees and never once was I cold and only had a base layer and long sleeve Tshirt on under this jacket! I will continue to count on Carhartt and they will continue to provide me with high quality items to keep me looking good and comfortable during all 4 seasons!
Excellent choice! Love this jacket. Im 6' 3" ordered both Reg and Tall. Went with the tall, fits excellent, room to move, I don't know about you, but if I'm in a 3X I don't want a slimmer fit like others have stated! Only complaint, wish cuffs were just a tad bit snugger. Overall I would rate this an EXCELLENT CHOICE!
Awesome jacket! Couldn’t be any more happier with this jacket. We got some snow on New Years Day in Texas, 2 hours West of Dallas and we hardly ever get snow out here and that jacket was perfect for that day!! Thank you.
I usually wear wool in the winter, but this jacket has withstood everything from windy, fall sunrise pier fishing to 20-degree winter camping and everything in between. Fits great (Large / Tall), is roomy enough you can still be active, and you can layer underneath it. Feels impenetrable to wind.
It looks GREAT!! We haven’t given it to our son yet, it’s a Christmas gift. After Christmas I will love to post a pic and let folks know about the fit!! We are faithful Carhartt people! We know we can’t go wrong, we wear it daily on our farm and going out and about. We have good looking Carhartt (going to town clothes) lol as well! I have 2 big boxes I’m fixing to wrap everyone’s gifts :)) I’m excited
Flexibility in this jacket makes it a great layer for wrkn in the cold.
Got this originally to use as a base layer under my Carhartt Chore coat. Because of the warmth and protection this coat offers, I find myself wearing it alone as is in temperatures 20 and above. The jacket does have some stiffness but that’s to be expected with the performance and comfort that it provides being from the Yukon line. I would say this jacket is warmer than expected and it does do a good job at fighting off the wind. I am able to wear it both as an undercoat and outer coat so I guess it’s nice to have that flexibility. When paired with one of my Carhartt hoodies I don’t really need much more working outdoors here in northern Wisconsin.
I’m actually pretty impress with this new jacket design by carhartt. Very slick looking , almost gives off a tactical look to it! It definitely does what the description says, during high cold winds and frost it keeps you warm! I can wear a carhartt long sleeve and this, during 35 degree weather with high winds and light snow and feel nothing cutting through the material! Can’t really speak on durability just yet, seems like the fleece is tough enough not to rip easy during tough jobs. Only downfall is the hood is small which I feel like all their jackets are like that for some reason. This jacket i feel like does sit closer to the body like a relaxed fit style. It’s not bulky like their duck jackets, so it does have more of a fitted look to it! But it does fit true to size as far as carhartt sizes go. I wear medium in everything carhartt, and I’m 5,9 175lb athletic built.
