I wear these for duty use. So far, very comfortable. Have not tested water resistance yet as the weather here has been pretty dry. Durability will be my only question- will have to update on that later. So far, very good.
Really working out great for my husband and giving him a lot of relief while walking and standing all day on concrete floors. He also deals with overspray of water and these shoes have kept his feet not only comfortable but dry!
I am a city mail carrier here in the Ozarks, a place know for very uneven terrain and unpredictable weather where I live. I have a pair of these for home and work. I bought these about three months ago and have been using them to walk everyday about 11-12 miles on my route. So far they've completely held up and keep my feet dry and pain free. Can not recommend these enough if you work on your feet like I do.
Superb traction even on smooth stone. Solid comfort in every step. Hiked 16.2 miles of mountain terrain. 48 hours later climbed Grandfather Mountain in a scramble terrain. 7 hours later, my feet felt great. Excellent ankle support and protection. Super toe box protection.
I had to have an ankle fusion done and it's been hard to find good work boots until I found these and they are great, I work in a machine shop where there are metal shavings on the floor and they seem to hold up pretty good
These are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever purchased. I have used these for hunting turkeys this spring with no issues with leaking. They are very light and easy wearing. I will be buying more soon. The Vibram sole was the thing that really made me purchase the boots, please keep using the Vibrams.
My Hoka One One Sky Kaha boots are feeling great with 2-3 weeks daily wear working around my farm - on and off tractors and equipment, in mud, water, grass, and dirt. I have arthritis in the big toe on each foot. All other shoes I have tried (several famous brands) are painful - the Sky Kaha allows me to walk with no pain again. My feet have been hurting for over two years. I'm so glad I saw a nurse wearing Hoka One One shoes and she recommended them when I asked about hers. So now I'm wearing them, my daughter is a new Hoka One One wearer as well. I am ordering a pair of Bondi SR shoes and a pair of Ora recovery slides today!
First Hoka product, we surely consider purchasing others.
Bought the highly reviewed boots for a 10 day hiking trip and man did they do wonders. I went extra by adding an insole, and even sprayed an extra coat of protection on the boots. THEY STILL LOOK brand new!
Absolutely no complaints about the KaHa Gortex shoe. Works great for cold weather footwear, too. I'm not particularly impressed with the post-purchase surveys. The last one asked for my gender. What does it matter when you ask to choose from 5 or 6. Don't ask for any gender if you think you have to accommodate that many genders. Are you going to fashion a shoe for every gender?
These hiking shoes are really light and supple, they are very well cushioned and supple so breaking in is not really needed, but would still recommend a few short hikes and some elevation change hikes to get them to adjust to your feet. For me they ran about 1/2 size bigger than the shoes. I use Men's size 10 on shoes, these were Men's size 9.5 and fit well. Your outcome may vary.
I work for the US Border Patrol and needed some boots that could address my feet issues. A buddy recommended them and now I'm doing the same. Trust me, your feet will thank you! I feel like I'm walking on pillows.
After 3-4 years of use, the tread was finally getting smooth on my first pair of Kaha. So I bought another pair. And I'd buy a third and fourth. As long as they keep making them, I'll keep buying them.
Maybe a defect but stiff as a board and definitely not plush
I was so excited to get these !!!! Total let down. I read every review before purchasing these, even waited because my size was on back order. I was expecting the comfort of my bondi 6 based on the reviews and these are stiff as a board and uncomfortable 🥵 Really bummed out 😞
Absolutely loved this boot. Unparalleled comfort. I primarily used them for work in Lawncare and Landscaping. Bought them in October 2020 and have started leaking now March 2021. I never treated them with anything though. Yes I would buy another pair.
Extremely comfortable! Many and I mean many compliments from co-workers on looks, style and comfortability. I am constantly asked what are they. At least two co-workers are or have purchased Hoka plus, at least three have the running shoes and rave about them and are going to purchase these or similar. I've worn many pairs of boots throughout my military and LE career, NOTHING I've worn, NOTHING!!... beats these! Thanks Hoka, you knocked it out the park! Comfort, style and functionality...can't beat it! I "WILL" be buying more pairs!
The vibram and gortex is major plus. The cushion level alone makes this shoe incredible for intense long hikes(no break in period). The only complaint I have is the tongue length could be a 1/2 inch longer and the laces would never want to ride up over the top of the shoe.
Boots fit great and seemed nice, but the online image did not match the actual item. Returned. I work in fashion and assume this was either a problem with the sourcing team approving something without looking at the standard, or the e-commerce photography getting washed out and not showing detail.
Either way, y'all messed up.
Dune color option has darker embossed areas than image shows. It's more sand and brown. It is not monochromatic.
Search for this color and look at other websites. They show you the actual color.
Too bad, I really liked what the picture looked like.
Bought this pair to go hiking and my dog and I went and the shoe is comfortable. No complaints. As some additional info I have a wide foot, these didn't come in wide width so I bought them in a men's size and they're perfect
Used in an operating room. Comfy if you are on your feet all day. Rocking back and forth on your feet is a great foot massage. Easy to clean. The ankle skin and bone protection is great for the numerous potential owies in a complex modern operating room. Conservative (appropriate) color for operating room.
Very happy with my new boots. The toe box is wide enough for my 8.5 EEE feet which was a pleasant surprise. Gortex lining kept my feet dry after hiking through snow all day. Vibram soles were very effectively gaining traction in all kinds of terrain including snow, mud, fallen trees, rough ice, gravel, and a wild mix of all the above.
I bought these to relieve some pain I been having on my feet. Standing 8hrs day. I have gone to so my foot doctor and showed him the shoes I bought . He told me there a good shoes to have for the type of work you been doing for 25 years. I bought three pairs of HOKA one one . They all fix great!!
I got an email telling me you had it in stock. I ordered it. It would not go into the basket. Then I received another message a few days later telling me it was in stock. I ordered it again. Later the charge was reversed because it was not really in stock. Now it says May on your website. You need UI work on your online ordering.
Love the hightop and gortex boot keeps water out for most of the day ,the vubram sole is cery good traction , my only complaint is they are not wide enough , they should be offered in different widths and if that is not remedied i might not be buying another pair , they start to hurt my toes at some point on my long workdays running anywhere from 7 to 14 miles .
My husband originally ordered a size 7.5, but exchanged for a size 7. He walks for an hour or two everyday on partially a snow/ice-covered dirt road, hence the need for a sturdy, comfortable, waterproof hiker. He's only been wearing them for a couple of weeks, and so far they seem to be fulfilling all his criteria. He likes them very much.
Hoka hit all of the intrinsic features that make a boot great with this one -- nearly perfect in every way! However, many folks with slightly wider feet just can't make these work, including myself. I have been wearing the Gaviota 2 (in a 10.5 -- had to size down to the 10 for the Kaha) in a wide the last several years, and I've tried almost all of the Hoka shoes and boots and can never fit into their regular widths. Simply put, some foot shapes just won't be able to wear regular widths even if every other feature of a shoe is perfect. Because the Kaha is so good in so many ways, making a wide version of this boot would serve lots of people. Please, Hoka: make a wide version of the Kaha! If there's one of your shoes that should be made in a wide, this is it!
Bought a pair of Hokas One One boots for my recent visit to Norfolk, VA. It was cold, rainy and muddy. Shoes have been very warm and comfy from the first minute. Wearing size 9 men's, normal foot, true to size with some room for a thick socks.
