These are warm and waterproof, great in winter but too hot for outdoor summer. The moment I slid my foot into them I said out loud, wow, these are comfortable! It was like putting on an extra sock! So I slipped the other one on, walked around the store for a bit, and decided these are the ones. \r\n\r\nI'm a bigger guy, close to 300lbs and I walk A LOT for my job. All outdoors and on different terrain(concrete, asphalt, grass, gravel, dirt, job sites, etc). So as light weight as these are they were perfect. Not to mention the foot bed feels like walking on a cloud and they have a nice bounce to them as well. They were the perfect shoe... until they weren't. \r\n\r\nI only had them for approximately 4 months and the soles, thats right, the vibram soles were completely smooth on the bottoms! I always thought vibram soles were supposed to hold up better than that. Maybe they make different grades of soles? Maybe it's the amount I walk or the extra weight that's applied to them? I'm not sure. \r\n\r\nWhile I did absolutely love these boots, buying brand new boots 3 times a year is not ideal at all so I'm slap in the middle how I feel about them. Love them? Yes! Will I buy this brand again? Probably not. Will I give Red Wings a shot even? Doing Commercial HVAC we’re not particularly heavy on the wear on boots a lot but we are on our feet constantly. The waterproofing is impeccable! Using a pressure washer all day long, standing in water ankle deep etc my feet have stayed bone dry which is a must have when it’s maintenance season. However I do think the chemicals from coil cleaning and brushing chiller tubes has ate the soles and caused the vibram sole to wear out quicker than usual. Over all I got a good solid year out of them. I just wish the sole lasted a little longer. I was surprised they lasted 2 years when all my other boots lasted less then a year and were more heavy duty.
