And every bit as rugged. This is a REAL boot, complete with marbled full grain leather (that will take boot cream like it should), goodyear welt, and rugged sole that isn't too deep or chunky that it gets in the way. A boot for adults who appreciate timeless style and construction instead of fast fashion. If you need a 100% waterproof boot - this isn't it. But it is planty waterproof for daily chores as long as you don't stand in the creek for 10 minutes (why would you do that?). I prefer this type of boot WITHOUT a \"waterproof/breathable\" liner, because in my experience they are often neither. I much prefer to just keep my boot clean and well-conditioned and I never have any problems with water getting in. Minor points that I hope IS will improve: Add a fully gusseted tounge (to help keep out debris and rainwater), and use two hooks on each side of the boot instead of just one for ease of lacing. Whatever you do - please don't discontinue this boot.
