Nice Shoes
I was very happy with these shoes b/c I ordered them without ever trying them on and they fit and feel great. If you have other Merrell shoes, you will probably be able to buy Merrell products using the same shoe size. The one criticism I have is I am unsure of how durable these shoes really are. I haven't used them on the trail. I just wear them casually and the toe cap already looks like it might peel away from the front toe box. Other than that they're a solid buy.

Good tred
Felt comfortable going up exposed rock -- comfortable -- we'll see how they age but rn they are great shoes -- used for trail running and hiking

Quality and comfort
After a week of consistently wearing the shoes, they have shown to have the quality and comfort that I have come to expect from Merrell's products. I have used the shoes for running and everyday use.

Great trail shoe, esp at this price point.
Great grip and modest cushioning for runs less than 15 miles, these fit snug through the midfoot with room in the toe box to splay. Exceptional value compared to other brands. Another winner for Merrell.

Very Good with Room for Improvement
Pros: Breathability and Water Dispersion. The shoes do a great job of venting and allowing water to get out and dry quick!
The laces also do a great job of locking the shoe down without cutting circulation of the top of your foot. And the upper has been durable enough with minimal impact to the foot from rock kicking.
The grip in mud is adequate and I always have a firm movement in mud.
The midsole is flexible and allows you to feel the ground, sometime bit too much but its ok. Overall the shoe is comfortable.

Cons: The outsole. The Vibram Quantum Grip, I think is marketing. I found I was slipping more than hoped for on rocks of various sizes, shapes and differing terrain.I've had much better traction and grip in other shoes on rocks and in wet conditions. The grip at the toe is non-existent and the shoe performs poorly when needing traction at the toe on any terrain. Which is real bad when going up an incline and need that toe traction to be there,

Overall a good shoe
I first tested this shoe out on a not very technical dirt trail in the Phoenix area. Overall the shoe felt good, I felt supported and like there was enough traction for rockier sections of trail.

My only issue with the shoe is it is a bit tighter in the toes than I would like. Towards the end of my run I could feel my toes needing more space.

Amazing shoe, light and fast!
First Merrell trail shoe, and I'm super impressed! I've ran in similar Scott's, Nike's, Salomons, VJ's, and for the price this shoe can't be beat. Fit is very comfortable (sized up 1/2) and supportive where I like it for technical trails. Some say it's narrow, but as a wider forefoot person, I disagree and believe it is just right (med width). Materials are very durable, with no rubbing on the foot anywhere. I'm on 200 miles, and there are no rips or holes, tread is wearing, but still about 50%. The midsole is firm, but has a nice bounce to it, and the shoe is super fast and agile. Rock protection is top notch as well. I would like to see the outsole swapped with the Vibram Megagrip, which might provide a bit more grip on the slick, but the in-house material does the job. Incredibly impressed with the job done, and hope to see this shoe get more attention out there.
