The Nike LeBron XVII Basketball Shoes are built for speed and strength. These unisex basketball shoes give you the support and shock absorption you need to dominate the court. The Max Air heel unit absorbs more shock than ever so you can make big moves and jumps. The KnitPosite construction of these basketball shoes provides lightweight and durable support with every cut. Stay light on your feet and stable on your quick moves with the support and responsiveness of the Nike LeBron XVII Basketball Shoes.
Stylish, no doubt about that’s. Quality control is something else. Glue all over the soles, the mid feels like something is constantly stabbing you in the foot. Probably the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve owned to date. Props to nike though for handling the return in such a great manner.
I have been hooping in Lebrons since the 11's. At least 2-3 times a week, I'm a dunker and have tried the KD's, too narrow, tried Kyries and those were good but nothing beats the level of support and comfort from the LBJ's. Previous to the 16's the extra support and comfort came at cost of extra weight, that changed in the 16's, but the 16's were not as light, NO WHERE NEAR as responsive and the comfort right out of the box is unreal. No more stubbed toes, no more suffocating feet, lock down yet breatherable!! these are amazing - I usually don't write reviews but I have to say something!
An absolutely stylish must have on and off the court
After being reluctant to hop on the Lebron bandwagon, I wore my first pair of Lebrons which were the 16’s. I really liked 16’s and after seeing Nike build upon that platform I decided to purchase the 17’s. As of right now, the Lebrons are my favorite shoes and I’ve purchased 3 pairs of the 17. They are super comfortable, fit very well, are breathable and stable thanks to the flyknit/ knitposite material and have great responsiveness and cushioning from the Air Max heel and Air Zoom pods in the forefoot. I wear my shoes so much that I wear through soles but I have yet to have any problems with durability in the Air pods. I don’t usually bother to write reviews but I love the shoes enough to do so.
I play guard position. It took me about a week or two to break them in.
Fit: little heavy for guards but the cushion is amazing. (In my opinion, those are by far the most comfortable basketball shoes I have ever wore in my life. I've been playing basketball for over 15 years).
Size: the shoes run true to size.(sizes really depends on how wide your feet are. if you have a narrow feet, your true size would fit big and if you have a wide feet, then your true size would fit small.)
Traction: tractions mostly depends on humidity and how clean the floor is. (Personally, I did not have any problem on either dusty or clean court. I would give 9.5 out of 10)
Overall, even though these are little pricey it made my feet feel not sore at all after playing for 2+ hours. I would definitely recommend this shoes for Forward/Centers.
I was blown away by the step in comfort! I expected the shoe to run a little narrow, but the sizing was true to size. I’m a bit disappointed in the traction however. I was expecting decent traction but unfortunately the traction is unpredictable. Good on concrete, but very unstable and lack of traction on all other surfaces. Overall comfortable shoe for casual wear, I would not recommend for performance due to lack of traction from sole.
Bought these for lifestyle instead of on-court functionality. For this reason, I'd recommend half size up if you're just going to wear for walking/standing/grocery shopping. For actual basketball games, true to size would be the way to go. Fits better than Lebron 16s, feels like a great improvement from the former iteration. Despite having an actual tongue, fit is similar to Lebron 15s (which had the slip on style). Lacing system is tad bit hard, but once loosened/tightened, you won't have to adjust it again. Great job nike!
I own multiple pairs of various silhouettes of LeBrons these are my favorites. They have more breathability than the 9s more cushion than the 10s and more stylish than the 8s my all time favorites I may end up racking up a couple pairs before it's all said and done
I absolutely love my Lebron 17. I choose the grey and black ones and wear them anytime I can because of the comfort. They are very comfortable but not on the level of the Foamposites or Flighposites, but I will be ordering me another pair to test it out on the outdoor courts. Everyone who wears them on hardwood says the grip is great on them so that is a huge plus for me but I do also play alot of street ball and I need a shoe that can provide grip on both like my PG3.
First and foremost, I own very few LeBron shoes since I find them fairly heavy in comparison to other basketball shoes. However, the LeBron 17 is quite different. Firstly, the Air Max technology incorporated into the shoe helps feel very light and plenty of cushion. Also, the fabric on the shoe itself is extremely comfortable. The fact that these have a Lakers color way, amazing!
I ordered these shoes from Nike and I was impressed, the delivery was quick much more the shoes are awesome.I got nike shoes before but this is phenomenal ,it's light , supports the ankle and foot very well and it's comfortable to have it on if they have added more cushioning it would be the very best shoes ever created.
I have three pairs of the 16 and I thought it was the most comfortable basketball shoe I've ever worn until I purchased the Lebron17. This shoe by far is INCREDIBLY comfortable and is a definite upgrade from the 16 which is an awesome shoe. I would recommend this shoe just for the comfort level and the styling and custom design embellishments of the 17 "Man In the Arena" are definitely worth it, even if only just to walk or workout in.
My personal preference is for there to be some extra space in the toe box. No complaints on fit. If i need to make a critique, it is going to be on the stiffness of the tongue when lacing up the shoe for a snug fit. On that same note, the fit is one to one when laced up. The shoe feels like its a part of my leg.I was able to put some torque on the shoes when testing the traction. My gym has a pristine court; was able to stop on a dime. I absolutely adore the zoom on the forefoot. Exceptional!!!
So comfortable and provide great support for my feet. I use them for lifestyle and basketball. I have actually worn most of his signature shoes and I think these provide more support and comfort for walking running and jumping
They give you the extra room you need where needed, while also keeping your foot locked down and supported where needed. So far, there’s nothing I don’t like about them. I love the bounce of the zoom under the forefoot and the plush cushioning of the air max unit in the heel. I also like the sock like feel around the ankle.
The air bubble is amazing and sits great on the ankle and the mid sole of the shoe feels just as great. There seems to be a few bubbles and they each push my feet up on what seems like a pillow and or cloud sort of feeing. The laces are robust and don’t seem to slip! And the grip on my wooden floor seems crisp!
Love the overall concept of the shoe...the air max sole is definitely something worth talking about and investing in! I look forward to future colorways because I plan to purchase more 17s in the future.
