You have to push a lot of air through that old call. This Rut Roar call is so much easier. Just a little air creates impressive sound. If you need to modify the call, it's a little more difficult (pull the mouthpiece and adjust the ring on the reed), but the ease of generating a grunt (little air required) is so much better!
