Used it to prune back shrubs in the spring and trim small branches away from my bird feeders. I’m 75 years old so I certainly didn’t do any big trim jobs. Tried to use it this week and it didn’t work. I had just purchased a new battery and blade and the battery showed full charge. Took it in to have it looked at and was told the motor was no good! If it doesn’t last any longer than this with light use I certainly don’t recommend purchasing it by anyone! Wasted even more money buying a spare battery and chain! Will look to buy another brand next time. I always was told Stihl was the best. Guess that isn’t always true! I used a couple times-5 branches, then my 63 year old mother found it and took it for her property. She had been so happy with it. light weight easy to use with her arthritis. Brand new out of the box it struggled to cut a ash branch that had fallen. Brand new blade with a fully charged battery. I was really excited about this tool but there's no power. It cut through 2\"+ branch but you can't \"push\" through the cut what's so ever. You have to let the blade do the cutting or the blade will completely stop as your cutting. I wasn't pushing hard at all and the blade stops in the cut. I'm a furniture maker for over 35+ years and own Lots of gas Stihl products. I know how to cut a piece of wood and this saw isn't ready to be considered an option for anyone that needs to make more than 4 or 5 cuts or you'll be there all day. I really wanted to like this saw but as I said it's under powered for how it's presented from the salesman and the pictures on the box. Make sure to buy from a dealer you can return to like an Ace Hardware otherwise you'll most likely feel the same as I do. I had to agree to terms and conditions in order to leave this review and I hope Stihl will post this honest review.
