Like most people, it is just plain difficult to justify spending $3,000+ on a pair of binoculars! \n\nNow that we have finally took the leap, I can definitely tell you that these are worth every penny. It was difficult to understand what makes Swarovski the best, especially when testing them out inside the store. You need to go outside with them and have a look around in order to get the full picture (which Scheels allowed us to do with an associate). Also, bring along your current binocs so that you can compare when testing the Swaros. It was a hefty bill purchasing two pairs at once, but even after 24 hours, I can confidently say that these are far superior to all other high end optics on the market. \n\nOur previous binoculars were the Vortex Viper HD 8x42. They are wonderful mid level optics, and I have nothing bad to say about Vortex. They make a fine product at a fair price, and we were happy with them for quite some time. However, the difference between the two is unbelievably noticeable. \n\nTo sum this up, if you can afford the Swarovskis (or save up for them), then I highly recommend getting yourself a pair. This was a big upgrade in binos for me coming from vortex, and I was a bit weary how much better these could be. The field of view on these are incredible. The amount of life you see when viewing through these is amazing. I’m glassing a hill for elk and can’t stop and notice the amount of birds, hawks, etc flying around in the sky, meanwhile I notice a slight glare off the back on an elk and now I’m watching a herd of elk, and red tailed hawks soaring in the same frame. This was within 20 minutes of putting them on the tripod. All other binoculars were unclear, limited field of view, and unsteady. This solves all of those problems.
