I was looking for an accurate hunting rifle 200 yards and in, and also a fun longer range shooting rifle for ringing steel etc at longer distance. The Ace Target doesn't come in 6.5prc and since I already have a 6.5creedmoor rifle, I went with the Ace Game to bring the 6.5prc into my caliber quiver.\n\nIt's everything you would expect from a Tikka especially the smooth action. The gun is extremely solid though I personally don't find it overly heavy to carry. Granted I'm not sure I would lug this on a 15 mile backcountry jaunt over hill and dale, but overall I found it reasonably comfortable to carry with a shoulder sling. Installed on my setup are a Leupold VX-6HD 3x18-50mm w/firedot scope and a Banish Backcountry suppressor.\n\nThe benefit of the weight comes during the shooting experience. The gun seemed to soak up nearly all of the recoil. Granted I'm shooting through a suppressor, but this recoil was much softer than my other rifles shooting through the same suppressor. Easily my softest shooter, way less than the 6.5 creedmoor with a muzzle brake. I was shooting Hornaday 6.5prc 147grain ammo.\n\nI anticipate it will be a very accurate shooter once the barrel is broken in and the scope is re-adjusted for the final POI. I did a quick visual boresight and shot one round that hit paper but was about 8\" off center. I adjusted the elevation up and then next three shots were a very nice little group. Not bad for the first four shots!\n\nThis rifle may very well be my new favorite shooter, much to the chagrin of my other rifles lol.\n\nI made the purchase at Scheels/Reno. if you happen to visit this store, ask for Jeff Steele.
