Shoe durability - 0 \n\nAs a long-time devotee of the Solution Speed FF 2 (18 pairs , may they rest in peace), I reluctantly decided to try a new model, Gel-Game 9—an extraordinary exercise in disappointment.\n\nLet’s start with the \"support\" or the lack of it. Compared to the Solution Speed FF 2, it feels like this shoe skipped leg day. Then there’s the shoelaces, so short, they practically beg you to give up on double knots. Who needs a secure fit when you can have shoelace minimalism?\n\nAnd the sole? The less said, the better. The groove lines started fading after just 1.5 hours of playing. For regular tennis players who hit the court 3-4 times a week, these shoes will give you the unique experience of constant replacement shopping.\n\nIn summary, the Gel-Game 9 is my most short-lived pair of tennis shoes to date. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend these to anyone who plays tennis with any regularity. They look great and felt great but after only a month of wearing them two times a week the rubber is coming away from the seam on one shoe and it will only be a matter of time before it gets worse and worse.
