This would be great shoe, but too much cush for me. Might have kept it for just every day walking and found another for running, but there is too much material for the upper. Makes shoe feel wider than it is. Too much slop room. Needs to have normal shoe upper so laces can be tied tighter or loose. The "sock like liner is too high. A scoch more than sock so rubs. But over all, love the shoe for such.Just didn't have "shoe FIT".
I purchased my first pair of Brooks Levitate 2 shoes several months ago. Had never heard of this brand before. Was initially drawn to them when I saw a color I liked in another style. I tried that first style on and it fit "just okay". I moved on to the Levitate 2 and immediately noticed the difference in comfort and fit perfect for my feet. It was unbelievable! I hesitated to purchase them at first because of the price. I walked out of the store and looked at a few other places around the mall. There was no other shoe that could compare. I returned to the store and purchased my first pair. I am not a marathon runner. I wore them on weekends, after work, and for walks on the track. Unfortunately the shoes lasted a few months then I noticed the soles of both shoes had cracked. Of course, I was disappointed. I'd never invested that much money in a pair of shoes. I loved these shoes. I was sad that I had to retire them. I hope it was just a defect and that I can eventually get myself to purchase another pair. I would still recommend these shoes. I have strongly recommended them to friends and family. Aside from the soles cracking, I will continue to recommend. Maybe I will try a different style. But those Levitate 2's are going to be hard to replace.
Wear these to run as well as when I run errands around town, etc. I've been in the market for a new tennis shoe brand for a while, and Brooks is it! They've definitely upped their style game and fit. Something about the new fabric wears well (my shoes basically look brand new) and the fabric and footbed also mold comfortably to my foot shape.
Absolutely love the built in sock and the design of this shoe. It's not only a beautiful shoe, it's extremely comfortable for running and walking! I bought the same paid my sister had because she was raving about them!
I have high arches and bad joints. I walk on average about 12k steps per 12 hour shift. I got these shoes for work and I don't run often, so I can't say how good they are for running, but I can say that my feet never hurt at the end of my shift or the end of the work week. These shoes were a really surprising good fit. I thought the soles would be too stiff when I bought them but I was wrong, the cushion and bounce are perfect. I've been wearing these for work for a year and the main reason I'm getting a new pair is because I am very short and stand on my toes a lot so there is a crack in the sole from standing on my toes.
This is probably the best running shoe I've owned. I had the GTS 17 and decided to try this one, as was recommended by my fit test. It's very supportive and springy. I mostly run on pavement and I get all the cushioning I need. I was having some knee problems prior to buying these and those have since disappeared. The only issue I have had is a little rubbing on the back of my ankle, but I have just been wearing socks that protect that area until they are broken in.
First wear these rubbed the back of my ankles but I didn't have them tied tight enough, no problems since! These are super comfortable, great for my runs, haven't felt bogged down by my shoes. They're better than my last pair and love the bright colors!
Love this shoe! Started with the Ghost 11, which I also loved but felt my feet was fatiguing quickly. Decided to try the "energizing" shoe and wow what a tremendous difference, I love this shoe and am back for a second pair.
I fractured my second and third metatarsals in March of 2018 and this is the only shoe that doesn't hurt my foot daily or running. I can wear these all day and my foot doesn't swell. Best running shoe I own hence as to why I bought 6 pairs ??????
I have tried adidas, nike, and brooks running shoes, but brooks are by far the winners for my feet. Levitate 2's are my preference as they are cushioned, springy and all around very comfortable. Would recommend!
I had a pair of the Leviate 2 that I bought on a whim because (believe it or not) I didn't even know the brand. The store associate assured me that they'd be the perfect shoe for me as I have knee problems and boy, he was right on the money!! I had to order another pair in a different color because I won't wear anything else to the gym now. (I normally wear a size 7, ordered a 6.5)
I got the black version and was a little worried that I wouldn't like the shiny sole, but I do. They fit and were comfortable right out of the box. I walk 30 minutes to 60 a day, so I can't say what they are like to run in, but they are great for walking.
These shoes have been a Godsend to my feet. Trust me I'm not the biggest fan of running but these shoes are actually starting to make me change my mind. Seriously great, great shoes, I hope it provides other people with the same amount of relief as it's brought me!!!!
Had been using Glycerins x years. Decided to buy a different model to alternate shoe styes on different days and reduce foot/shin/knee strain. Sooo glad I got this energizing Levitate 2. Love the lateral stability of this shoe. Less pronation. More spring and energy and faster run. Glove fit. I like both the Glycerins and Levitate 2 but they really do feel different. Glad I can alternate between shoes.
These shoes are incredible!!!! I am very picky with my shoes now, so I only order Brooks, they just get it. With the amount of miles I put on my shoes, I need comfort and durability. These shoes truly fit all my need and feel like heaven on my feet.
So, I was able to try these on in the store and got a half size smaller than I normally would in other athletic brands. They absolutely fit perfect, but I am glad I tried them on in the store first and was able to order the correct size. Also, I am a PE teacher and avid gym goer. I do not run, BUT I need shoes with more support and these are amazing. My feet feel great and my plantar fasciitis is feeling much better. Worth the investment, can't wait to buy my next pair.
