A few years ago, though, I had a pair of these Rainforests that lasted me through three seasons of trail work before blowing a hole on the inside ball of my left foot. All things considered, I think this is pretty good for a boot subjected to 50-100 miles/week and frequent soakings (the goretex liner didn't last long, but that's to be expected). Once broken in, they were very comfortable for working and hiking in varied terrain. If I needed a lace-up boot again, I would probably buy a pair.\n\nThat said, I wish they were offered in wide (the men's version is, so why not the women's?). Judging by the Danner website, it seems like it took the company three years of research and interviews (of which I was an interviewee) to realize that many women appreciate a wide toe box. They are","text":"LOVE these boots! They are great for those who are new to having real work boots as they are not too tall and the heel is moderate. At first they felt a bit stiff, but after I greased them and stuck with them, they are broken in and I could not be happier. I live in Northern California so chop wood and walk in treacherous forest and through rivers in these and feel incredibly safe and comfortable. Plus they are stylish. I did swap out the laces for fire resistant and sturdier ones. They are very warm. Still had to break them in and I cut the stitching on rocks so the seams were beginning to come undone. I'm a forester in the timber business and I'm rough on my boots but these have been the best production boot I've found. I also have a narrow foot so they fit very well. Only other boots I've found have been custom made and a lot more expensive. I typically swap out the cheap laces for wax laces and resole these when needed. The Gore Tex bootie is hit or miss. Some fail right away and other pairs of Rainforest have had no issues. My back is not a fan of high heel logging boots. Best mid sole logging boot that is waterproof that I've
