I go to the gym 3-4 times a week for cardio and resistance lifting but not anything extreme. These shoes are comfortable and responsive. I like that they come in wide. I wish they were just a bit wider as I have bunions on both feet. If in doubt I would order up. Mine are fine for what I want them for but if ordering again, I would have ordered a 40 instead of 39. The shoe laces are easy to untie and make tighter, but some form of adjustability would be helpful. The laces are impossible to adjust without a tool to move the knot for a secure fit. I am returning them because adjusting the laces takes too much effort every time I want to wear them. If you were going for the popular slip on style shoe, it's not working for me. You make great shoes \nwith comfort, durability and design. I have long toes and this shoe is long enough for me. My only caveat is the ties need to be longer or have a cord stop included to make them easier to fasten. I bought a set of cord stops and added them to my shoes. It is not a subtle touch. I do not care for it at all. However, the shoe fits, is a nice color and is well made, so I kept the pair. I would probably not buy them again with the white rim around the opening. While a very good shoe, these shoes are meant more fir fashion than sport. If you want sneakers for work, great choice. I like the shoe as it stabilizes my foot/ankle. What I don’t like is Dansko’s sizing. I wear a 7 or 7-1/2 shoe, so I had to choose between a 6-1/2 - 7, or a 7-1/2 - 8. One size being a bit small and the other too big. It would have been nice if a Wide width had been offered in this shoe.
