After only a couple months of light use, the tread began to lift off the bottom of these shoes. I submitted a warranty claim and was told this is normal wear and tear. I followed up with more questions and was again denied my warranty claim. Otherwise I did like these shoes but they are unwearable and clearly the warranty guarantee is just for show. I feel like most runners find THEIR shoe brand and mines been hoka. I run cross country and they last me summer training and then the whole season which is really nice. I'm not sure if this is a one-off but very disappointed as I only use the shoes for work and the shoes came highly recommended by other staff. They are about the only shoe I can wear. The heel to toe drop was perfect and the cushion was also. I don't like that the Bondi is even more bulky. I wish I could find a leftover pair in a decent color. I have problems with my feet and these felt good instantly. I gave them a 5 star because they were great! So many people are having the same issue with this same shoe model. I too have contacted CS today, I use my pair for very light walks around my neighborhood and the Hokas CS rep and their supervisor is trying to gaslight me that it's normal wear and tear. I was gifted these shoes in March of this year and over the last few months the soles have been falling apart as I walk. I've already tripped once outside. There is a law firm with an active investigation into this issue for multiple customers over this shoe model and over the ineffective warranty claim process Hokas has. I am waiting for a response from Hokas Customer Support. There aren't many companies that do that anymore. If you read the reviews - this shoe obviously has a defect in the sole - the inlay on the bottom comes off after just a few months (I bought them from a local authorized retailer around Black Friday last year and they started coming apart at the end of July). I talked to the local retailer when I went to pick up another pair of shoes because I couldn't wait for them to process the warranty claim as I am training A LOT right now with a big run coming up in a few months, and he said this shouldn't have happened. \n\nI did like the shoe; it was very comfortable and made running feel good. I only wore this shoe for running on the road (training and some local races) and logged 260ish miles in it on my Garmin watch. However, I nearly tripped in them the last time I wore them because of the inlay coming off. I looked at the other shoe as well and could see the inlay starting to delaminate on it as well. Defective glue? Maybe they should have made the sole all one piece instead of having an inlay? I don't know, but while HOKA gave me a store credit, I'm thinking about going with the 10s and see if they last longer than 7ish months and 260 miles. Maybe they've fixed the problem. The shoes were comfortable, but too expensive to only last 260 miles, and I don't want to deal with an obviously known defect and have to pay $14 to ship another pair back.
