Gotta love that the shoes I purchased 15 years ago are still being sold today. The originals still look new from the top but the soles had gotten hard and started to crack as rubber soles tend to do so it was time to replace them.
One thing I have noticed, though, is that the sizes have changed. My originals were size 8M, and they still fit very well, but that same size in new shoes was way too small today. The soles were almost 3/4 inch smaller. So I replaced them with 8.5 Wide and they fit just like the older ones do. I DO wear that bigger size in other brands as well, so I guess sizes have changed for everyone. I guess I just did not expect the size to change in the exact same shoe. Moreover, the size chart greatly underestimated the size of shoe that would fit.
What I like about these shoes is that they are less clunky than regular athletic shoes and as a result fit inside my snow overshoes really well. I would use them for general walking but would not use them for any exercise that requires stabilization of the foot, though. These shoes are comfortably soft and not built to protect ankles from turning.
It’s a no and yes. Its uncomfortable for people with wide feet, it runs narrow in the front and I could see my toes sticking put but If your feet aren’t as wide as mine I guess it would be comfortable and it looks stylish. The insoles are great too!
Oh I love these shoes! I wore these Reeboks back in the 80s and I’ve basically forgotten about them for many years. After spending a long time searching for comfortable shoes that are cute too I came across the old faithful‘s, And I am so glad I did! They are comfortable they are classical stylish and they held up very well. Just wore them again today
