SCHEELS Returns

Online Returns 

We offer easy, free mail-in returns within 90 days of your online purchase. 

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging and condition to be eligible for a full refund. Please place the item and its original packaging inside another proper shipping container.

  • Simply go to the online returns portal to start the process to get your pre-paid return label.

  • We will process the return when we have received the original item back and verified the product.

In-Store Returns & Exchanges

Online or in-store purchases may be returned or exchanged at your local SCHEELS location within 90 days of purchase; be prepared to provide proof of purchase.

Returns

  • Items returned with proof of purchase will be reimbursed the full amount to the original form of payment.

  • Returned items without proof of purchase require a valid, state-issued ID and will receive store credit.

  • Items may be exchanged for a product of equal or lesser value.

Refunds

Refunds for all returned products will be issued to the original form of payment or a SCHEELS gift card. Your refund will include the product price and applicable sales tax. Please note that shipping fees, package protection, and other surcharges are non-refundable. Depending on your bank or payment company, this refund can take up to 3-5 business days to appear on your account after the return has been processed.

SCHEELS Return Policy Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Gift cards

  • Firearms and bows

  • Ammunition, reloading powders, and primers

  • What Goes Around Come Around pre-owned luxury goods

  • Items that diminish in value upon opening the package, including but not limited to:

    • Autographed memorabilia purchased on SCHEELS.com

    • Trading cards, sports cards, and mystery/surprise toys

    • SCHEELS is not liable for any decrease in an item's value regardless of the cause. Our responsibility is limited to the original purchase price.

In addition, SCHEELS reserves the right to refuse returns and exchanges for:

  • Individuals and accounts with history of fraudulent return practices

  • Items purchased with likely intent to resell

  • Items purchased via bots and other automated order methods

Product Defects & Warranties

Some items have additional warranty guidelines and processes.. These items and their guidelines are as follows: 

  • Scheels Outfitters Fishing Rods: Scheels Outfitters-branded fishing rods are warrantied for 3 years against workmanship, materials, and breakage under normal fishing situations. For more details, visit the Scheels Outfitters Rod Warranty Policy.

  • Baseball & Softball Bats:

    • Please keep your order confirmation email or receipt, as this is often required for proof of purchase and return. If your bat becomes defective and is covered under the manufacturer's warranty, they will handle the repair or replacement.

    • For warranty claims on baseball and softball bats, please follow the manufacturer's instructions. Most manufacturers provide warranty information on their websites, or you can contact them directly.

  • Hockey Sticks: 

    • You can return a hockey stick purchased from SCHEELS.com within 30 days of the original purchase date. Returns can be made at any local SCHEELS store or by using a prepaid return label. To be eligible for a return, the stick must be in new, unused condition. However, if the stick is damaged from normal use, it may still be returned.

    • Some hockey sticks also come with a manufacturer's warranty. If the stick is found to be defective and is still covered under the warranty period, the manufacturer is responsible for repairing or replacing it. Please contact our customer service team for assistance with these returns.

If you believe you have a damaged or defective product, please contact SCHEELS at your earliest opportunity.

  • If the item was purchased in-store, please bring the item back to your local SCHEELS.

  • If an item you ordered from Scheels.com arrives damaged or defective, and your package was protected by Route, please submit your claim directly through Route for a quick and easy replacement or refund.

  • For any other items damaged or defective, please take pictures of the product and/or packaging, and contact Scheels.com Customer Service.
