This is not a practical pant for hunting. Yes the material is quiet but that won't matter unless you're walking or moving around, so that is irrelevant if you are on-stand or otherwise being still (ie while you're actually hunting). The construction quality is mostly awful. The material does not feel very durable. Some of the orange accent stitching was already coming out when I received the pants from scentlok. The pants have no water resistance whatsoever, and once they get wet, they stay wet until you get put them in a dryer. The bottom of the legs will even get soaked walking thru wet grass. Any hunting pant should be water resistant and quick drying, whether it's supposed to be quiet or not. I have some Eddie Bauer First Ascent pants that are nylon. They make a little noise but not much at all, and the material allows them to shed light moisture and dry quickly, and they're even lighter than these pants. I think scentlok realized this was a design flaw because the new BE:1 phantom pants seem to be made from a different material, and I assume those are the new flagship early season pants. Another huge design flaw is the open cargo pockets. Why wouldn't you put zippers on the cargo pockets so that they can be closed? That makes no sense at all because you run the risk of stuff falling out of your pockets, plus the pockets collect all kind of dirt/debris from walking through the woods. The sizing is also off. I'm 5'7\" 145 lbs and wear a 30\" waist so I ordered a small and they're still way too big. I have to cinch them up with a belt and then the waistband gets all wonky and folds under my belt. The fit is spot on and these are comfortable. Only thing i would change is get rid of the zippers on the lower legs. I like almost every other hunter i have seen wearing these tuck their pants inside hunting boots.
