I looked through which one would fit nice with my PENN Fierce II 8000 size spinning reel. I’m searching, I’m looking……. I buy this one! The Ugly Stik BIGWATER Rod in the 8 foot (2 piece) Medium Heavy (BW2040S802). 20 - 40lb. Line rating (it can handle more) and 3/4 - 4 oz. Lure rating (even though it can hold triple that probably more it’s an Ugly Stik). I purchase it, I get home and it fits / pairs nice with my PENN Fierce II 8000 size Spinning Reel spooled up with 345 yards of 80lb Power Pro Braid. I later bought and upgraded it to a NEW (at the time) PENN BATTLE III 8000 HS (High Speed) Spinning Reel spooled it up with 375 to 400 yards of 80lb Sufix 832 Advanced Superline with a 18 inch 130lb Tyrant Fluorocarbon Leader……. -READY FOR THE MIGHTY RIVER! -READY TO CONQUER! \n\nMy friend and I go to the River together a couple months later and I bring my NEW Ugly Stik BIGWATER Rod / Setup -READY FOR A BIG FISH!\n\nI put on my Perch Whopper Plopper 130 and get it Burbling across the River water -I SEE SOMETHING BIG SWIPE AT IT! I’m like: “-Oooh! There we Go! Comeback baby!” I continue casting and Burbling my Perch Whopper Plopper 130 across the water for about 7 to 16 minutes later then -BOOM! -SWOOSH! -GOT EM! -Man……. This was a HUGE Smallmouth Bass! About 18 to 20 inches in Length! My NEW UGLY STIK BIGWATER ROD SETUP with my PENN BATTLE III 8000 HS (High Speed) Spinning Reel spooled up with 375 to 400 yards of 80lb Sufix 832 Advanced Superline Braid with my 18 inch 130lb Tyrant Fluorocarbon Leader -HANDLED THIS HUGE SMALLMOUTH BASS SO EASILY, SMOOTHLY, AND EFFORTLESSLY! -NO PROBLEM! IT WAS SO SATISFYING FEELING THE HIGH QUALITY GEAR I BOUGHT SMOOTHLY OPERATING AND SMOOTHLY PERFORMING SO WELL! I wore him out and tired him got some good pictures, saved him on the 25 foot yellow stringer just to look at! This Smallmouth Bass was Healthy and Huge! -ONLY TO FIND OUT……. THE SNAPPING TURTLE GOT HIM! Ate him in half……. Gosh Dang It! So yeah……. FREE Meal for the turtle right?\n\nThis Ugly Stik BIGWATER Rod I got is SO STRONG! You just gotta FEEL one of these (or a few) in your hands to TRULY KNOW like: “Yeah……. This will bring in a 100lb+ Fish FOR SURE!” Their 7 and 8 foot Medium Heavy UGLY STIK BIGWATER Rods are JUST FREAKING STOUT! And anything 9 feet and above 10 foot, 11 foot, 12 foot, 15 foot……. YOU. ARE. EVEN. BETTER! \n\nJust take your time reading through the specifications of each one and pay very close attention to them when reading the specifications and just buy one (or many). These UGLY STIK BIGWATER Rods are a Great Value for your Hard Earned Money. I mean these UGLY STIK BIGWATER Rods were MADE for the BIGWATER Fish! Excellent Quality, TOUGH, STRONG, POWERFUL, Good engineering!\n\nJust take your time reading through the specifications / shopping for one, and just buy it! Try it out on a “BIG WATER” / Big Body of Water where Big Fish Live: River, Sea, Ocean, The Great Lakes etc: put a Big 6000, 8000, or a MIGHTY 10500 size spinning reel on it -PAIR IT UP EVENLY THOUGH!
