The first day my partners waders leaked. Contacted Roy's Bait and Tackle in Corpus Christi Texas to inform them of the problem and a representative from Simms immediately called me in Kodiak. They offered to exchange with a local outdoor store in Kodiak, unfortunately the did not have her size. We purchased another brand to be able to finish our week of fishing. Upon returning home we took the waders to Roy's to exchange and we were informed that Simms offered to update her to the next level up of waders, and also gave us a waterproof backpack for our troubles. Extraordinary service in these times. Their service is so bad it’s not worth the hassle. I had to call them 5+ times to try to understand why the order I placed several weeks prior never shipped, and nobody was able to help remedy the issue. I also tried emailing several times and nobody ever returned my emails. After a month passing without a shipping notification, I finally just tried to cancel the order and they wouldn’t even let me do that because it was stuck in part of the shipping process. I purchased a second set of the same waders because I had such a good experience with the first set I had. Unfortunately, that is where the good experiences end.\n\nAfter receiving my second set, I quickly found that Simms changed the size of the built-in booties without changing the size description online. Although this is disappointing and inconvenient, it wouldn't be the end of the world if Simms' customer service was willing to make it right. So, I got in contact with customer service requesting to change out the booties for the correct size. The \"helpful\" representative - Shaun - stated that they could do this but I would have to pay an additional $60 plus shipping to make this happen. Basically, they want me to pay more to fix a problem that they created. I responded, letting them know that their answer was unacceptable and this should be a free transaction. And in true bought-out-too-big-for-their-own-britches-coorperate fashion, they ignored me and have subsequently lost a lifetime customer. Gone are the days when Simms was a local, helpful, and friendly company. I returned them to Simms for repair and was told they had reached the end of their serviceable life. They were cared for exactly like Simms suggested. Never abused them. Don't waste your money the customer service is terrible. We use them for our fieldwork, which is pretty rough on gear, and these have held up for a whole season without needing repairs. They are very easy to clean.
