I review it based on what it does on target and on the chronograph.\n\nI used Winchester StaBALL Match throughout an extended .308 Winchester Mauser project — a difficult rifle that had real problems to work through before it could be evaluated fairly. Stock issues, bedding work, scope questions, trigger work. The rifle had to earn its credibility before any load could earn its. StaBALL Match was present through all of it.\n\nThe best chrono string I recorded with this powder was 168 gr Hornady ELD-Match at my established node: average 2703 fps, ES 4.9, SD 2.5. Those numbers came from a cold field session at roughly 17°F feels-like with wind present and a rifle still being sorted. That is not a soft range day result.\n\nThat same load foundation — the consistency and node stability StaBALL Match provided — is what eventually allowed the rifle to produce a measured 0.452 inch group at 100 yards with a 165 grain Sierra GameKing. The powder built the platform. The Sierra bullet showed what the platform was capable of once everything else was honest.\n\nFind your own node through a proper ladder. What worked in my rifle at my conditions is mine. But the powder that got me there is worth your attention.\n\nIn my .308 Winchester, StaBALL Match earned everything it
