Unfortunately, I'm kind of disappointed with these boots...they're very rigid and I'm having difficulty breaking them in. For the price I paid I was expecting the same comfort I used to get with my old hikers. I've heard how many people have about Danner products, but I'm not impressed.
I usually like to use them when it’s raining or snowing around the city, great, comfy boots. Not complaints. If there’s any issue, Danner Team will like to know about it for sure. Base on my experience, I’m a happy customer.
I would buy these again. They have held up well. Since the are light weight, I’ve done a lot of running and hiking in these boots. The sides provide good ankle support. The sole is flexible enough to run in and provides good traction.
These are so amazing. I ordered these and a lighter tan version. I saw reviews where people complained about the additional mesh that attaches the tongue to the shoe folds up. It rubs against the ankle while walking, which was bothersome for myself as well. I just manned up, took a razor blade and cut the folded material out and have had zero problems. They’re light for every day adventures, running my woodworking business, and on the range throwing lead. Would definitely recommend!
Got these boots because I'm a truck driver and needed something durable for the job. I got them they fit good they are lightweight but what I really wanted was something waterproof and these are not. Came a flood in Georgia this past week and these boots definitely didnt stand up to the Georgia rain. My boots and feet were soaked in a matter of minutes. I paid good money for these boots with waterproof being my main hope and concern so i would say they are water resistant instead of waterproof. I was let down.
These shoes feel like they look - a robust casual, everyday shoe/boot. They feel sturdy and comfortable but maybe have a little too much room in the shoe, they don't really hug your feet. Previous reviews noted that these run large so I ordered them a half size small and the shoe length seems perfect. I also wish there were a heel pull tab which was a loop of material rather than the lower flap of leather, I feel like the high top of the heel will degrade over time as I put the shoes on over and over since there is no good way to hold this area up when I put my foot in.
Truly the most comfortable chakka height boot I've ever worn. I'm loving this pair and the perfect amount of snug they give your feet. Would gladly wear out socially because of the stylish look and turn right around to wear them on the trails.
After several weeks of wear, I am very happy. At first the rivet behind the lace hook was poking my ankle bone, but after a short break in period this was no longer an issue. I swapped the laces for elastic laces, which helped me achieve the perfect balance between security and flexibility. My feet do sweat in them more than more breathable boots, likely due to the waterproofing layer, but that’s a natural trade off.
