The reel had no issues inside the ice house. The drag is funky since I am used to hearing the clicking noise when the drag is active, the freefall is just super quiet. Didn't have any bird nests, line issues, or lost parts. When you snap the tip with lever depressed, it will bird nest snarl like a bait casting reel. The biggest problem is when ice on line catches in the eyelet and stops the freefall.\nI have also read reviews saying it was hard to tie line onto. That is no issue. Take the spool off, run the line through the reel eyelet, tie the line on and reattach spool. Piece of cake.\nFantastic combo combo teamed with ul ticklestick for panfish. You can see the fish breath on the tip. Will probably buy another for my light weight rod.
