It’s not small and it’s not large, it is the perfect size for the essentials with room leftover. I didn’t even realize that there’s an open pocket there on top, separate from the zipper, almost as deep and somewhat protected by the top latch! Such a perfect and generously roomy place for sunglasses, keys, phone and even my little makeup bag fits. I have an iPhone 15 max with an otterbox and it fits in the zippered pocket quite easily which is so nice, but I could certainly use that open pocket up top and put my few makeup items in the smaller zippered pouch. The leather smells amazing and is so soft. I was worried about the carrying functionality because of the loop only on one side but it really doesn’t matter. You can carry on the shoulder on both the left and right, it’s just the location of the bag on the right shoulder will flip to the front but it actually gives you a different advantage to accessing the bags versus if you shoulder carry on the left, which flips the bag to the “usual” on the back location. And of course you can cross body and sling either way. My only complaint is the shoulder strap is not leather. I really think that would complete the look of this bag. Although the strap is the most used and abused of these types of bags so it could be that a leather strap would wear a lot more then this sturdy material strap. But the look would have been way better. All of the hardware and the fabric strap though seem to be very high quality. I really love this bag. I’ll wear it with jeans, a suit jacket or a dress!!
