I have sent the knife in for inspection and told it is perfectly fine. I own a large variety of knives and for it to be perfectly fine, it is the only knife that I own that is rusting from everyday use and proper maintenance. I like the carbon fiber scales on the bugout more that the grivory ones. It’s much stiffer which makes the action easier to operate. This knife is great because how light it is and slim. The only reason I rated 4 stars and not 5 is because the knife came pretty dull out of the box and is the reason I bought a kme sharpener. It took an edge well but woulda been nice if it was sharper out of the box. I had the Bugout CF \n-Elite and lost it while traveling. Loved that knife but wanted to try the S90V steel. I didn’t like the black finish on the CF-Elite because it doesn’t look clean after use. This Bugout Carbon Fiber is awesome in every way, construction is on point, craftsmanship is clean. Once you break it in opening with the flick of a thumb is a piece of cake. I honestly don’t understand the point of assist and auto blades that add weight.\n\nBest thing about the Bugout knives is they’re comfortable in the hand, well made, thin and light. You won’t find a lighter more durable high quality knife. Only reason not 5 starts is the $300+ price tag.
