Did a airtest and it turns out it was leaking at the lightbulb. Not my fault. Because of the leak the complete electric part was corroded by the salt water entering the lightbulb. It was confirmed by Regton UK the ledbulb had a leak. After sending 6 \n\n8 emails in 3 months to Garret nothing happened. Not even a sorry for the problems i faced. So... for me never again a propointer or any other Garret materials anymore. How rude and what a bad aftersales they have. Shame on you Garret. If you sell me a leaking device and no refund what so ever.. you get crap back. It is very durable and waterproof. \nShortly before my daughter graduated college, she told me that one of her friends had lost his new class ring in the lake. I asked if he knew about where and she said that he had dropped it by the dock. So I told her that I would go and see if I could find it since I have scuba gear and a metal detector. I arrived and he pointed to an area about 100 feet x 100 feet and said \"it's somewhere out there\". Well, I was already there.\nThe visibility was zero and the bottom was soft mud. I took my Garrett pro-pointer and started a grid pattern running the pointer along the bottom in about 10 feet of water. I had done the pattern right to left and forward and back to no avail and was almost out of air. I told him that I was going to do a final X pattern across the area and that was it. About halfway through the first pass I got a signal. I stuck my hand down in the mud and low and behold it was the ring. I came up and held my hand up in the air with the ring on my finger. Then I told him that I wasn't turning it over to him until we were on dry ground. He was so happy he didn't have to tell his parents that he brought me a thank you gift the next day. \nWay to go Garrett Pro-Pointer!
