The sliding mechanism to seal the reservoir needs a different design. Opening and closing it are extremely difficult. I was using a pliers to hold the reservoir while prying the sliding mechanism off. Different brands such as Osprey have a functioning slide open reservoir. The rest of the pack is great for day hikes. I called customer service and they were very nice and said I just needed to slide the little gray tab down and that would work. Well silly me, they meant down as if I were wearing the pack. And try as I might I could not push the thing down, because I had it on my lap and in that case, down was up. This just needs a simple diagram on one of the tags showing the tab in the closed and opened position, with an action arrow pointing in the direction to push. Easy for me to say, probably won't ever appear.
