As soon as they arrived, I got one of my plastic buckets out and put the swivel seat on it and it fit perfectly so I put the bucket on the hardwood floor and sat down and tested the swivel feature, but the entire bucket moved in a circle, but the seat didn't swivel at all, so I moved the bucket to carpet so the bucket would have some friction to hold it in place. So, I tested the swivel feature again and once again the bucket moved in a circle and the seat seemed to be froze in its position. The swivel works perfectly when there's no weight applied to it. In evaluating the swivel it's all plastic-on-plastic friction and apparently there's too much friction in the all plastic swivel mechanism with no ball bearings and when weight is applied to it then the swivel has more friction than anticipated in its construction. Maybe the swivel's tension will lessen as time goes on but when new, don't count on it swiveling.
