Adjust the knife to your preferences, add some pistol grip tape, and remember to take it out of your jeans pocket before you wash your pants. Maintaining this knife is easy; it can be disassembled and put back together, sharpens wonderfully, and the balance between handle and blade are ideal. I had my first one for 13 years and used it every day. The only reason I don't have it is because the Cleveland airport wouldn't let me have it in my luggage. So it stays with my buddy in Ohio. \n\nA tip for those wanting to put grip tape on: Trace the knife onto the back of desired grip tape and then press down into carpet or foam pad. Cut 1/8th inch inside of the lines and around the protruding screw heads we made impressions of by pressing down. I always carry a knife on me because you never know when you are going to need one. Out of all the knives I have this is the one I use as my everyday knife to carry with me. I have had it about 6 years and it still works just as good as the day I bought it. The only complaint is that sometimes it does get a little stiff opening and closing it and I have to add 4-1 oil but other than that no complaints, and I use the knife often. As much as I use it stays sharp and I don't have to sharpen it as much as I though I would. This knife is so good that my ex-wife tried to give it to her new boyfriend when we were splitting up, but I didn't allow that to happen. But this knife....Within a week the pocket clip broke. Within 2 weeks the blade started getting surface rust which I honestly couldn't believe. I have had this knife for less then 2 months and it's already fallen apart and may have used it 39 times. Mostly for cutting string line. Customer service sent me a new pocket clip. It broke within a week yet again. Then the locking mechanism snapped.
