Definitely the biggest drawback is it running big. I'm buying a second one to have one that will fit with no layers. It will keep you warm in zero degree weather. If im really not feeling the cold that day or if its like -10, I'll put some layers under it and literally not feel the cold and will be sweating in no time. 3 years in and it's still more waterproof than newer jackets I've bought. I'll throw it on even in the summer if I have to run outside in the rain to grab something quick. As far as durability, im always rolling around the garage working on something. The black gets dirty, but cleans well and hasn't aged or ripped at all. I'm in Northern Michigan and an always cold type person. The hell seems to be a heavy duty water resistant material. I have one in the brown duck color with thick flannel lining that I have had for at least 12 years that I have worn everyday in our 9-10 months of below zero winter. It is now starting to show wear and tear but is still very warm. I am pretty sure that the one I just bought is not going to take the beating or last as long as the old one, nor be as warm. The body isn't long enough, which is a significant problem when I'm active. It rides up easily, pulling my shirt up and exposing my skin to the extreme cold. Additionally, the pockets are noticeably smaller, and the jacket doesn't provide the same level of warmth I experienced with the previous version.
