Stylish and lowkey puffy, and plenty warm for the winter days and nights. As a large headed individual I appreciate the spacious hood, and the amount of pockets is nice, and their placement is well thought out. I'm 5'8\" 180 lbs, and I got the large so I could layer under it if I wanted, and it's the perfect size for that. Medium would have been more true fitting, the large is slightly loose which is what I was going for, I can wear a flannel under it no problem. The jacket is light and the cut is perfect in the shoulders and chest. It is also very warm without being bulky—more like a sweater in feel. My favorite feature is the hood—large but instantly snug when needed with a single hand adjustment. The breathable under arm membrane vents vapor without pit zips! Seems to be warm (into the mid to upper 20’s), and It isn’t a bulky coat like other down jackets. Nice athletic fit which is what I like and true to size. The weight and packability compared to how much warmth it provides are insanely impressive. Fits well. For reference I'm 5'9 with broad shoulders and weigh about 170 lbs and a small fits great but I prefer an athletic fit. If you want to layer heavily or want a looser fit, size up. As with anything, you have to measure something based on what it is intended to do. This is a light down jacket so it is not meant to be your heaviest jacket for sub-zero degree days. It is also not meant to be your outer layer protecting you from rain or sleety snow (down in general is not good for wet conditions). But as a mid layer on very very cold days or as your outer layer on dry days down to about 25-30 F, its fantastic. And as usual with Kuhl products, style is on point. The same adjustment on the hood allows you to snug things up when the wind is ripping. This jacket is always in my pack on day-hike peak bagging trips. I like to throw this on when taking a breather on the summit and having it in my pack for those \"just-in-case\" times gives me peace of mind. I also used this jacket when out fishing on a boat this past weekend, and it kept me nice and warm while the weather was cold and windy.
