The proportions of the waders were fine, however, my size 10 1/2 4E feet barely fit into their size 12 boot. Someone thought it was a good idea to restrict the size of the ankle, and this is very problematic if you have wide feet. Also, a snug fit on your feet is a recipe for cramps. I did size up and I am glad I did because if I would have ordered my regular size the boot would have been too small with no room for an insulated sock for the winter months. I fish and trap in the winter. I am tall and thin so they are big around on me you can tighten a little but they were still big around but any full wader would be that way. So I ordered a size 9 boot. With just one pair of regular white socks I barely got my feet past the bend in the boot. It felt good once in. I walked around for a few minutes to see how it all felt. Then both feet got stuck so bad while trying to take them off it took 2 people and far too much effort and time to get them off and almost sprained both ankles. I really wanted to cut them off. So, I am ordering the size 10's to see how that goes. I do like them as it is hard to find expandable waders for short stocky guys like me especially. I liked every thing else.
