I always ran with what I thought was a great snowshoe until I tried my Revo. The grip, comfort, and lightweight blew me away. When I think of the miles and miles Ive walked, I can't believe I just never knew how much better it could have been. I live in Western Colorado, and have tested these to their limit. The only issue I am having is that the springs on my bindings tend to pop out, which can make tightening my straps on the trail kinda tricky. This started happening after year 2 of use. However, I can say that the ratchet function is the single best thing about these, and it makes them stand out from the competition. I do a lot of backcountry snowshoeing in deep snow, uphill, downhill, over trees, whatever you can imagine. I just really like snowshoeing, okay?? Lol. Anyway, these have held up miraculously well, and outperformed every other snowshoe that my friends wore during our adventures. They all use the traditional strap system, and their shoes simply won't stay on. In deep snow, the snow pushes their straps off the hook, or the snow packs in between the shoe and the strap, or the strap breaks. Not so with these. The straps fall off maybe once a month, in seriously weird conditions. I cannot say enough how much I love these! \n\nAs a short female, though, I look forward to upgrading this year into the women's version so that I can try out that narrower stride. I do often step on my own shoes because I am very smol. Other than the buckle spring and my own extreme smolness, there is nothing I would do to change these shoes. I think the straps should be twice as thick, and the ratchet controls and releases should be bigger and easier to operate with gloves or mittens. Loved the 1st pair, unfortunately a broken component so I purchase another pair $249.95. The new snow shoes have a strap issue on the toe strap. The strap is too short and cannot be locked over my Keen Revel hiking boots. Moving the longer rear strap to the toe strap buckle fixes the problem. I contacted MSR, explained the situation and asked MSR to send me 2 rear straps to place on the toe buckles and remedy the situation. MSR reply was directing me to the MSR site and for me purchase a set of straps $14.95. Shipping anther $5 and taxes total $21.69.
