I have worn Kenetreks for years but the more I wear trail runners for hiking the more my feet need flexibility even while backpacking/long hunts. These are great, waterproof and provide stability but very flexible. They've been great for work(conservation law enforcement) as well. They're comfortable going from hours in the truck, to having to hike into a site or crossing small creeks/marshy areas and keeping my feet dry. I wear these boots indoors ONLY. I take very good care of all of my belongings. It’s hard for me to believe these last outdoors in different terrain. Customer service granted an exchange the first time around and hopefully they will help me with the 2nd pair. For $260 I’d expect the quality to reflect that price tag. I work with guys that have worn the same pair for years and they always mention the newer Salomon products don’t have the same quality. \nAlso, the black leather suede seems to fade easily. The boot doesn’t have that jet black look after only a few months of wear. \nThese were recommended to me by a guy that swore by them during his tours overseas in the Middle East. It has been super water resistant, and has held up to immense wear and tear. I’m a firefighter/paramedic and they have held up. THE ONLY ISSUE is they are not wide at all. I am a size 9 and I figured after a 2/3 month break in period they’d fit fine. They have not budged an inch and my feet are in pain and I can no longer wear them. I had to order a new pair a half size up in hopes that they fit.
