I wore it on a cold, snowy, rainy, windy day, fishing in Ontario. It was awesome, so when I got home I bought the bibs. This rain gear is heavy duty and tailored for hard core weather. With enough room for a warm layer underneath, it was the perfect northern spring fishing set. Super comfortable and generously sized. Heavy zippers, line pockets, sleeves and collar. Even has a lens wipe secured in an upper pocket. I won’t need anything else for a long time. Can't stay dry.","text":"I originally bought these due to the touted extreme waterproofness/durability in harsh conditions. I drive a tiller and fish in all conditions, so I need something that will keep me dry. A Scheel's employee recommended these to me from their personal experience owning them stating they keep them dry in the harshest of downpours. My first year with them they performed great.\n\nAfter a year of use they started to soak through in the knees and seat. I tried the recommended care instructions (delicate cycle, grangers performance wash, grangers DWR spray, air dry). This did not help at all. I stuck with them for a little longer, but I can't stay dry at all now. Even just boat spray leaves me soaked in the butt and knees even after a half day. They are pointless to wear due to this.\n\nOn a positive note, they come in tall sizes (which I need). This doesn't really matter though if they can't stay dry. \n\nOverall, they might last a little longer if you only use them sparingly, but for regular use they don't seem to last. I'd expect more performance at this price point.\n\nTLDR: They worked for a little over a year and then lost waterproofness. Care instructions did not bring it back at all. The cost for both jacket and bib is very reasonable and the set will last you quite a while. The only thing I did not love was wearing them in constant rain for long periods of time. If I am fishing in heavy rain for long periods of time the moisture can sleep in through the removable hood and up the sleeves.
