So they sat. And sat. Collecting dust on a table like tiny rubber monuments to indecision.\n\nThen one day, out of excuses and counter space, I used them to secure my Ooni oven to an outdoor table. Still seemed like a waste. Until about a week ago.\n\nAround 2 AM, I woke up and noticed my 14-year-old greyhound, Mr. Vegas, wasn’t beside the bed. Naturally, panic set in. I searched the house top to bottom and finally stepped outside—and there he was. Exhausted, injured, and stuck under the table.\n\nSomehow, he had slipped, fallen, and gotten trapped. The table had been dragged a full 20 feet from all his struggling. I pulled it off of him and rushed him to the emergency vet.\n\nAs I was leaving the clinic around 8 AM, the vet looked at me and said, “He’s lucky the oven didn’t fall on him. ”\n\nThat’s when it hit me: those silly little oven shoes—those afterthoughts—saved Mr. Vegas’s life.\n\nSo yeah. Five stars. Would absolutely buy again. Not just for safety. Not just for stability.
