It's rigid enough to get the job done (especially being 42\" long) and coated to protect the bore. Some coating was applied to the threaded end and it makes installing jags and brushes a little difficult. The handle is smaller (appreciated) and has a good bearing, but it's very slick. I think it's a little overpriced for a non-carbon fiber rod, but it seems to work fine. I had planned on buying another Tipton carbon fiber rod, but it wasn't in stock.
